Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Power Systems Engineer to join our fully remote engineering team. You will design, analyze, and optimize electrical power systems for diverse projects, ensuring reliability, safety, and grid compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems focus, 6+ years of experience, and proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, and PowerWorld; strong remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a Power Systems specialization.
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in power systems engineering.
Proficiency with power system analysis software ETAP, PSS/E and PowerWorld.
Strong knowledge of grid codes, protection relaying, and remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, distribution and protection schemes.
Perform detailed power system studies, such as load flow, short circuit, stability and arc flash analysis.
Select and specify power system equipment, components and protective devices.
Ensure compliance with national and international power system standards and regulations.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines in a virtual environment to achieve project goals.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex power system issues, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
