Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Remote Electrical Engineer with a Power Systems focus to join our fully remote team. You will design, analyze, and optimize complex power grids, supporting energy generation, transmission and distribution projects worldwide.
The ideal candidate holds a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems), has 8+ years of experience, and is proficient with PSS/E, ETAP or PSCAD.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- 8+ years of experience in design, analysis and operation of electrical power systems.
- Proficiency with power system analysis software (PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
- Strong ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate clearly.
Responsibilities
- Design and model electrical power systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.
- Perform load flow analyses, short-circuit studies, and transient stability simulations.
- Develop protection schemes and coordination studies for safe, reliable operation.
- Contribute to renewable energy integration planning and engineering.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documents for review.
- Collaborate remotely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.
