Placements24 is seeking a Senior Remote Industrial Engineer to lead high-impact optimization initiatives for a globally distributed team based remotely from Sandton, Gauteng. You will analyze complex production processes, design scalable solutions, and drive Lean Six Sigma projects across multiple facilities.

The role requires deep data analysis, advanced simulation, excellent communication, and the ability to deliver results independently in a fully remote environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with focus on process optimization and efficiency.
• Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools with Black Belt preferred.
• Experience with advanced simulation software and data analysis platforms.
• Proven ability to manage complex remote projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the analysis and redesign of complex industrial processes and systems remotely.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies using advanced modeling and simulation tools.
• Analyze large datasets to identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Design and document optimized workflows, production layouts, and operational procedures for remote implementation.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams through virtual collaboration.
• Manage and execute significant industrial engineering projects from initiation to completion in a remote capacity.
