Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Senior Industrial Engineer to join a fully remote team servicing operations in Cape Town. The role centers on driving productivity gains, cost reduction and process optimization using data analysis, Lean Six Sigma, and advanced modeling.

You will lead remote collaborations with plant managers and cross-functional teams, develop KPIs, and implement cutting-edge engineering solutions across dispersed facilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with emphasis on process optimization and operations management.
• Demonstrated success in leading Lean Six Sigma projects.
• Proficiency in advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and process simulation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for a remote work setting.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data and operational workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in a remote context.
• Design, develop, and document optimized manufacturing processes and system layouts.
• Implement and champion lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and enhance quality.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and track improvements.
• Collaborate with plant managers, operations staff, and cross-functional teams remotely via digital platforms.
• Conduct virtual site assessments and provide expert recommendations for process upgrades and integrations.
