Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Field Service Technician to remotely diagnose, repair, and optimize complex systems for a distributed client base. You will work independently from a remote location, guiding end-users and on-site staff, and producing clear documentation to support ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in field service or technical support.
• Proficiency diagnosing hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience with remote access tools and diagnostics.
• Technical qualification or certification in electronics/IT.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote role.

Responsibilities

• Conduct remote diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized equipment using advanced telecommunication tools.
• Provide technical guidance and support to on-site personnel or end-users when necessary, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and best practice manuals for remote operations.
• Analyze system performance data to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies to prevent downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements for future designs.
• Manage assigned service tickets, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through effective remote communication.
