Placements24 is seeking a Senior Community Support Manager to lead remote community outreach across South Africa, including the Western Cape region. You will drive strategic plans, manage a diverse team of officers and volunteers, and ensure quality program delivery with strong stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 5–7 years in community development or social work, leadership experience, and proficiency in data-driven reporting.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in social care or related field.
5-7 years in community development or program management with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience managing remote teams in a remote-first environment.
Strong understanding of South Africa's social landscape, especially Western Cape.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans for community outreach and engagement initiatives.
Lead and mentor a team of community support officers and volunteers.
Oversee budgets and resources for multiple programs.
Build partnerships with local government, NGOs, and community leaders.
Monitor impact, analyze data, and report outcomes to senior management.
Ensure regulatory compliance and ethical standards in service delivery.
Lead new initiatives based on needs assessments.
Facilitate training sessions for staff and community members.
Serve as a point of contact for complex case management and crisis intervention.
