Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote Community Outreach Coordinator to develop and implement outreach strategies across South Africa. The role focuses on building partnerships, coordinating events, and driving engagement from a home office in a remote-first setup.

You will manage social channels, track activities, and collaborate with teams to align outreach with organizational goals, contributing to meaningful community development.

Qualifications

• Experience in community outreach or program coordination.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to build relationships with diverse community groups.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools and digital channels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Experience developing outreach strategies.
• Non-profit sector familiarity is advantageous.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community outreach strategies to boost awareness and participation.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with local leaders and organizations.
• Organize virtual and in-person community events and workshops.
• Manage social media, newsletters, and email campaigns.
• Track outreach activities and report outcomes to inform strategies.
• Provide support and resources to community members.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach with goals.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of contacts and resources.
• Represent the organization at forums and conferences.
