Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our fully remote team. You will provide expert guidance on complex process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, driving safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities include leading design and implementation of advanced chemical processes, conducting PFDs/P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and modeling with Aspen Plus or HYSYS, while mentoring junior engineers remotely.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with a strong focus on design and optimization.
• Expertise in process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and advanced data analysis techniques.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and deliver results in a fully remote setting.
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, separation technologies, and process control.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, adaptable to virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of advanced chemical processes.
• Conduct in-depth process analyses, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment sizing.
• Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, debottlenecking, and cost reduction.
• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide expert technical support and mentorship to project teams and junior engineers remotely.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively in a distributed work setting.
