Placements24 seeks a skilled Chemical Process Design Engineer to contribute to global projects with a strong focus on conceptualization, design, and development of chemical processes. The role is remote, offering flexibility while delivering detailed P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and equipment specs for diverse industrial applications.

The candidate should have a formal Chemical Engineering degree and a minimum of six years in process design, with proficiency in Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, and CAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical process design.
• Proficiency in process design software (Aspen HYSYS/UniSim) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of unit operations, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
• Experience with HAZOP studies and process safety management.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed process designs for new chemical plants and process modifications.
• Prepare P&IDs, flow diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Perform mass and energy balance calculations for various unit operations.
• Conduct process simulations to evaluate design alternatives and optimize performance.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams remotely.
