Placements24 is seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to lead the engineering and technical recruitment division from Polokwane. You will build robust client relationships, develop talent pipelines, and manage complex projects across civil, mechanical, electrical, and chemical disciplines.

You will source and screen top engineers, mentor junior consultants, and drive high-quality candidate experiences while achieving recruitment targets in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in recruitment consultancy with focus on Engineering/Technical roles.
• Proven success recruiting for complex or niche engineering positions.
• Based in Polokwane, Limpopo, or willing to relocate for the role.
• Experience in hybrid work models and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the recruitment process for a variety of engineering and technical roles, including but not limited to mechanical engineers, civil engineers, project managers, and technicians.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the engineering and technical job markets.
• Source, screen, and interview highly skilled engineering professionals.
• Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the engineering sector.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial client engagement to offer acceptance.
• Provide expert market intelligence and recruitment advice to clients.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants within the engineering recruitment team.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience working within a hybrid model, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demanding recruitment projects simultaneously.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Polokwane, Limpopo .
• Proficiency in using modern recruitment software and sourcing tools.
