Placements24 is seeking an experienced Real Estate Development Project Manager for its Sandton, Gauteng, ZA operations. This hybrid role requires leading complex development projects from conception through completion, coordinating architects, engineers, and contractors while managing permits, budgets, and schedules.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in real estate development project management, strong construction knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Property Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive real estate development project management experience.
• Proven track record managing large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, contract administration, and project finance.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and financial modeling.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and work in a hybrid model in Sandton, Gauteng, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of real estate development projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead and coordinate project teams including architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee planning and design to align with objectives and market demands.
• Secure permits, zoning approvals, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and manage budgets, track expenditures, and apply cost-control measures.
• Monitor construction progress, site activities, and contractor performance.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Manage relationships with investors, lenders, authorities, and community groups.
• Conduct feasibility studies and market analyses for potential developments.
• Prepare regular project reports and presentations for senior management.
