About the Role

Our client, a distinguished real estate development firm in Sandton, Gauteng , is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to oversee the development of high-profile commercial and residential properties. This role involves managing all phases of the development lifecycle, from site acquisition and planning through to construction, marketing, and sales. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the urban landscape of Sandton , ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. We are looking for a proactive leader with extensive experience in real estate development and a keen eye for detail. This position requires a blend of strategic planning and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of real estate development projects, including feasibility studies, land acquisition, zoning, and permitting.
• Oversee the design and construction phases, working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial viability and profitability.
• Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to ensure timely and successful project launches and sell-through.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, including market, financial, and construction-related challenges.
• Ensure compliance with all local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, lenders, consultants, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate development project management, with a portfolio of successfully completed projects.
• Proven experience managing commercial, residential, or mixed-use development projects.
• Strong understanding of real estate finance, market analysis, urban planning, and construction processes.
• Proficiency in project management software and financial modeling tools relevant to real estate development.
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• A degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
