Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer specializing in Process Safety Management to lead robust safety programs in Polokwane. You will drive hazard analyses, incident investigations and regulatory compliance to safeguard operations and personnel in a leading chemical enterprise.

The role requires a BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years in process safety, and CSP or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualificações

• BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in process safety, with substantial chemical industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of PSM principles, hazard assessment techniques and risk management.
• Experience with regulatory requirements (OSHA PSM, Seveso).
• CSP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage comprehensive Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Lead and facilitate PHAs (HAZOP, What-If, FMEA) studies.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with national and international safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver process safety training for engineering and operations staff.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections of plant facilities and operations.
