Placements24 invites an experienced Senior Process Optimization Engineer to join our client’s Mossel Bay operations. You will lead data-driven initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce variability, and drive sustainable improvements across chemical processing lines.

The role requires 6+ years in process engineering, strong Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), SPC proficiency, and hands-on collaboration with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in process engineering with a focus on optimization and improvement.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and SPC.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Utilize SPC and data analysis tools to monitor process performance and identify trends.
• Design and conduct experiments to test process improvements and validate changes.
• Develop SOPs and provide training to operators and technicians.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure reliability of equipment.
• Prepare detailed reports on process performance, improvements, and cost savings.
• Support scale-up of new processes from pilot to full production.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement across operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
