Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Process Optimization Engineer to improve production efficiency at our Stellenbosch facilities. You will analyze current systems, identify bottlenecks, and implement data-driven improvements to reduce waste and boost quality.

You will apply lean principles and Six Sigma, design and test new workflows and layouts, monitor KPIs, and collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in process optimization or industrial engineering roles, preferably manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of lean principles, value stream mapping, and SPC.
• Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
• Apply lean and Six Sigma methodologies to develop and implement improvement strategies.
• Design and test new workflows, equipment configurations, and production layouts.
• Monitor KPIs related to production efficiency, cost, and quality; report progress.
• Collaborate with production staff and management to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and training materials.
