Job summary
Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Industrial Process Optimization Engineer for a leading Johannesburg manufacturing client. You will drive continuous improvement across all production lines, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency through Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
You will collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams, lead cross-functional projects, develop SOPs, and evaluate new automation opportunities to strengthen operational performance and market
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–7 years in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations.
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred).
- Experience with ERP/MES and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Analyze existing industrial processes to identify inefficiencies and waste.
- Design and implement new or improved processes and layouts.
- Use data and KPIs to monitor performance and drive insights.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects and training.
- Prepare reports for senior management on status and recommendations.
- Evaluate new technologies and automation opportunities.
