Placements24 in Vereeniging is seeking a seasoned Senior Industrial Process Engineer to lead manufacturing optimization and efficiency initiatives on-site. You will analyze current processes, identify improvements, and implement solutions to reduce waste, cut costs, and elevate product quality.

The role requires Lean Six Sigma experience, CAD and simulation proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in industrial engineering focusing on manufacturing process optimization.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience; certification is a plus.
• Proficiency with CAD software and simulation tools for process analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Design and implement optimized workflows, layouts, and handling systems.
• Conduct time and motion studies, capacity planning, and forecasting.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Develop and document SOPs for new/improved processes.
• Use simulation and statistics to model process changes.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Monitor KPIs related to process efficiency and productivity.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and staff.
• Stay updated on industry engineering technologies and best practices.
