Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to support oil & gas operations from Mossel Bay on a fully remote basis. You will design, develop, and optimize processes for production, refining, and treatment, solving complex technical challenges and improving efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
- Proven experience with process simulation software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, and process safety management (PSM).
- Experience leading technical teams and managing projects remotely.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead process design and simulation for new projects and facility modifications.
- Optimize existing process operations to improve efficiency, yield, and safety.
- Develop PFDs and P&IDs.
- Conduct PHAs such as HAZOP studies.
- Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and process improvements.
- Ensure designs and operations comply with industry standards and environmental regulations.
