Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Senior Process Engineer to provide operations support for facilities in Randburg. The role focuses on optimizing existing processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality in oil and gas operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with 7+ years in petrochemical/oil and gas, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with process simulations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
At least 7 years' experience in petrochemical or oil & gas process engineering.
Proficiency with Aspen Plus or HYSYS and data analysis tools.
Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and mass transfer.

Responsibilities

Analyze process data to identify optimization opportunities and cost reductions.
Provide technical support to operations to resolve process upsets and equipment issues.
Lead or participate in PHAs and implement safety improvements.
Develop SOPs and operator training materials.
Evaluate and recommend process modifications and debottlenecking projects.
