Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Engineer to join the operations team in Midrand, focusing on optimizing production processes, ensuring safety, and improving efficiency within their extensive petrochemical facilities.

You will be a key technical advisor, leading process improvement initiatives and troubleshooting complex operational challenges in a cutting-edge Oil & Gas environment located in Gauteng.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required. Master’s preferred for advanced roles.
• 7+ years of experience in process engineering in Oil & Gas or petrochemical sectors.
• Experience with process simulation, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• Knowledge of HAZOP studies and safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize chemical processes to improve yield and reduce waste.
• Develop and implement process control strategies for product quality and stability.
• Conduct PHAs and implement safety recommendations.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and operators.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to resolve equipment issues promptly.
• Lead projects for process upgrades and new technology integration.
