Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing at our Rustenburg facility, with a hybrid work model combining on-site presence and remote collaboration. You will lead process improvement projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost efficiency, yield, and product quality while upholding safety standards and SOPs.

The role demands expertise in chemical/process engineering, process simulation, SPC, and heavy-industry

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical/Mechanical Eng or related field.
• 7+ years in process engineering in manufacturing, heavy industry preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, yield and quality.
• Lead process optimization projects and address bottlenecks using data-driven methods.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and enforce standards on the shop floor.
• Mentor junior engineers and production staff on process matters.
• Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance and operations on new product introductions and validation.
