Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Chemical Engineer to provide critical production support at their Randburg facility. This role emphasizes troubleshooting, process optimization, SOP development, and mentoring operators, with strong collaboration across maintenance, quality and safety teams to uphold safety and production excellence in Gauteng.

You will analyze process data to improve efficiency, yield and product quality, and implement safe modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in chemical plant operations and production support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert production support to diagnose and resolve process issues.
• Analyze process data to improve efficiency, yield and product quality.
• Implement safe process modifications and optimizations.
• Develop and update SOPs and process documentation.
• Mentor engineers and train plant operators.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality control and safety teams.
• Participate in PHAs and safety improvement initiatives.
