Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging, Gauteng, seeks a Senior Process Engineer to design, optimize and troubleshoot complex oil and gas processes, ensuring efficiency, safety and environmental compliance across production and refining facilities.

You will develop P&IDs and PFDs, run simulations with Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II, analyse data to identify improvements, and provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years of process engineering experience in Oil & Gas.
• Experience with Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II for simulations.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify process equipment and systems for oil and gas facilities.
• Conduct simulations and analyze data to identify improvements and cost savings.
• Develop P&IDs and PFDs and other process documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental policies and standards.
• Provide technical support to operations and maintenance teams.
