Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our client in Polokwane to optimize manufacturing processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure safety and quality. You will lead process design, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across production and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in an industrial setting, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant process engineering experience.
• Proficiency in P&ID development and process simulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Design and implement process modifications and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Ensure processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to support production goals.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments.
• Manage small to medium-sized engineering projects related to process improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
