Job summary
Placements24 seeks a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our client’s Mahikeng operations. You will optimize and troubleshoot complex chemical and physical processes across industrial systems, designing, developing and improving process flows to ensure safety, efficiency and quality.
The role requires a chemical engineering degree, 7+ years in process engineering, proficiency in Aspen HYSYS or PRO/II and P&ID development, plus hands-on experience with HAZOP and risk assessment in
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering within an industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and P&ID development.
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with HAZOP studies and risk assessment methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modify process equipment and systems to improve efficiency and output.
- Conduct process simulations and analyses to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex process-related issues affecting production quality and safety.
- Develop and implement process safety management (PSM) protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and R&D.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and project proposals.
