Job summary

Placements24 in Nelspruit is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Engineer to optimize chemical manufacturing operations, improve yield, efficiency, and uphold safety standards.

You will troubleshoot complex process issues, implement design improvements, and drive continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a chemical engineering degree and at least 7 years' experience in process engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in chemical process engineering.
• Experience with process design, optimization and scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement process modifications and new technologies.
• Troubleshoot operational issues related to equipment and performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (P&IDs, SOPs, batch records).
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and R&D teams to meet production goals.
