Placements24 client is seeking a skilled Process Design Engineer to design new chemical facilities in Mahikeng. You will translate project requirements into detailed designs and work with multidisciplinary teams from feasibility through detailed engineering.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in process design, proficiency in Aspen HYSYS/ChemCAD, and a strong grasp of safety and environmental regulations. On-site work in Mahikeng is essential and the role emphasizes sustainable, efficient process

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in process design for new facilities.
Proficiency in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD).
Strong fundamentals in chemical engineering and equipment design.

Responsibilities

Develop conceptual and basic engineering designs for new chemical processes and facilities.
Create PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&IDs.
Perform process simulations and calculations for design integrity and optimization.
Specify major equipment requirements and interfaces.
Conduct technical reviews and HAZOP studies for new designs.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines on integrated designs.
