Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Process Design Engineer to contribute to the design of new chemical facilities in Mahikeng . This role is central to conceptualizing and developing innovative process designs that meet stringent performance, safety, and environmental requirements. You will translate project requirements into detailed engineering designs, working closely with multidisciplinary teams from feasibility studies through to detailed engineering. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen and a passion for creating efficient and sustainable chemical process solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and basic engineering designs for new chemical processes and facilities.
• Create process flow diagrams (PFDs), heat and material balances, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform process simulations and calculations to ensure design integrity and optimization.
• Specify major equipment requirements and interfaces.
• Conduct technical reviews and HAZOP studies for new designs.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil) to ensure integrated designs.

Requirements
