Placements24 is seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to join our client’s team in Randburg, Gauteng. The role focuses on integrating renewable energy projects into the national grid and performing advanced power system studies throughout development and commissioning.

Collaboration with engineering teams and external stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate has a Master's in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and 7+ years of experience with PSS/E/ETAP/PSCAD, grid codes, and

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in power system analysis and design, preferably in renewables.
Proficiency in power system simulation software (PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
Strong understanding of grid codes and interconnection standards.

Responsabilidades

Perform detailed power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, stability, protection coordination) for renewable projects.
Ensure designs and interconnection applications meet grid codes and utility requirements.
Develop technical specifications for grid connection equipment and systems.
Provide technical support during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
