Placements24 is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of complex power systems in George, Western Cape. The role involves hybrid work, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable, efficient and safe energy solutions for cutting-edge projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in power systems design, proficiency with ETAP/PSS/E/DigSilent, and a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) preference.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering with emphasis on power systems.
• Pr. Eng. registration with ECSA preferred.
• Experience with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind) is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design detailed electrical schematics and layouts for power generation and distribution systems.
• Perform power system analysis including load flow, fault analysis, and stability studies.
• Oversee electrical aspects of project execution from concept to commissioning.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and site personnel.
• Conduct site visits and inspections, especially in George, Western Cape during hybrid work phases.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
