Placements24 seeks a Senior Power Systems Electrical Engineer in Midrand to design, develop, and implement advanced electrical systems for renewable energy and grid modernization projects. You will lead power system studies and oversee equipment specification, installation, and commissioning.

The role requires 7+ years in power systems, proficiency with ETAP, PSS/E or PSCAD, and knowledge of SANS/IEEE/IEC codes; Pr. Eng. registration is advantageous.

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years in power systems design and analysis.
Experience with ETAP, PSS/E or PSCAD.
Knowledge of SANS, IEEE, IEC codes.

Aufgaben

Develop detailed electrical schematics for power generation, distribution, and control.
Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, stability, arc flash.
Specify equipment like transformers, switchgear, generators, protection relays.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and testing to meet specs and safety standards.
Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, and technicians throughout projects.
Provide technical guidance and issue resolution for complex electrical problems.
