Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Manager for a luxury resort near Polokwane. You will oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Spa, and other operations, driving guest satisfaction and profitability.

The role requires 7+ years in hospitality ops with leadership, budgeting, PMS proficiency, and a track record of managing multiple departments. Live in or relocate to Polokwane; hybrid work possible; strong strategic and people skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive hospitality operations experience.
• 3+ years in a senior leadership role (Operations Manager/AGM) at a resort or large hotel.
• Proven track record in managing multiple operational departments and driving profitability.
• Strong understanding of resort operations including F&B, Rooms, and Spa.
• Excellent financial management skills including budgeting and cost control.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) and related hotel software.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays; remote work flexibility.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Polokwane area, Limpopo.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Spa.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and efficiency.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability targets.
• Lead, train, and motivate a diverse team of operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement for operational supplies.
• Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic planning and business development.
• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of resort facilities and amenities.
• Ensure seamless coordination between departments to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
