Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Leisure and Hospitality Operations Manager to oversee a premier luxury resort property in Cape Town, Western Cape. You will lead daily operations, drive guest satisfaction, and maximize revenue through strategic planning and team leadership.

The role requires a track record of luxury hospitality management, robust financial acumen, and the ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic, destination-driven market.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive management experience in the luxury hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated success in managing diverse operational departments within a resort or hotel environment.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in hospitality management software and systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and creating memorable experiences.
• Experience working in Cape Town's vibrant tourism sector is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and recreational activities.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue streams.
• Lead, train, and motivate a high-performing team of hospitality staff.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and local service providers.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to uphold service standards.
• Manage guest feedback and resolve any service-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to drive occupancy and special promotions.
