Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years in geotechnical engineering with mining focus.
- Experience in numerical modeling of underground excavations and slope stability.
- Proficiency in FLAC or Rocscience geotechnical software.
- Strong knowledge of rock mechanics and safety processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical investigations for mine design and operations.
- Develop monitoring programs to assess ground conditions and risks.
- Design ground support systems for underground excavations and open pits.
- Analyze rock mechanics data and advise on excavation sequencing.
- Prepare geotechnical reports and risk assessments for mine planning.
- Collaborate with mine planners and operations to ensure safe practices in Pretoria.
