Qualifications
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of geotechnical mining experience.
- Proficiency in Rocscience suite and Plaxis.
- Strong knowledge of rock mechanics and soil mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute field investigations, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing of rock and soil masses.
- Perform detailed geotechnical analyses for underground excavations, open pits, and tailings storage facilities.
- Develop and recommend ground support systems and stabilization measures.
- Conduct seismic hazard assessments and contribute to mine design and planning.
- Monitor geotechnical conditions and advise on risks and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and present findings to teams and management.
