Placements24 in Klerksdorp is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will drive efficiency, quality, and cost reduction while collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams on new product introductions.

You will apply Lean and Six Sigma, develop process documentation, and lead cross-functional projects to improve capability and SPC performance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in manufacturing engineering with process design focus.
• Proven experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of process control and quality systems (ISO 9001).

Responsabilités

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products, focusing on efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
• Design, specify, and implement new manufacturing equipment and tooling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production process issues, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and control plans.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure manufacturability of new designs and support product lifecycle management.
• Conduct process capability studies and implement statistical process control (SPC).
• Train production personnel on new processes and equipment.
• Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
