Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer in Klerksdorp, North West. You will drive Lean initiatives, analyze production processes, and implement improvements to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and elevate product quality on the factory floor.

You will collaborate with production, quality control, and management to deliver tangible results. A strong Lean background and excellent problem-solving skills are essential for this hands-on role on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial engineering with Lean Manufacturing focus.
• Proven experience leading Kaizen events and Value Stream Mapping.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles and problem-solving abilites.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and training skills.
• Eligible to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen events and 5S.
• Analyze production processes to identify waste and bottlenecks.
• Develop and implement process improvements to reduce lead times and improve quality.
• Standardize work procedures and share best practices across lines.
• Train and coach employees on Lean tools and continuous improvement.
• Collect and analyze production data to monitor performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects.
• Prepare reports and present outcomes to management.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement.
