Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Project Manager to oversee major infrastructure development in Benoni, Gauteng. You will lead end-to-end projects, ensuring safety, on-time delivery, and budget compliance across civil engineering and building initiatives.

You will manage multidisciplinary teams, liaise with clients and authorities, and drive risk mitigation, quality control, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• Professional registration (e.g., Pr. Eng) highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in infrastructure or construction project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project execution plans with scope, schedule, budget and resources.
• Oversee all phases from planning to handover, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, site supervisors, contractors and consultants.
• Implement risk management to identify, assess and mitigate threats to project success.
• Manage project finances, reporting to senior management and tracking costs.
• Ensure safety protocols and quality control on site.
• Serve as main liaison with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress using tools and provide status updates and KPIs.
