Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Process Optimization Specialist for a contract position based in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will drive efficiency by analyzing bottlenecks, reducing waste, and implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across production lines.

The role requires a data-driven mindset, strong collaboration with engineering teams, and a proven track record in manufacturing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in industrial process optimization or continuous improvement.
• Proven track record of implementing process improvements in manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficient in process mapping, simulation software, and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing industrial processes to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and propose optimized process designs and workflows.
• Implement lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement tools.
• Measure and monitor process performance with KPIs.
• Collaborate with production staff and engineers to adopt new processes.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and develop solutions.
• Document improvements and create SOPs.
• Train personnel on new/modified processes.
• Contribute to cost reduction through optimization.
• Ensure changes comply with safety and environmental regulations in Vereeniging.
