Job summary
Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Industrial Engineer in Stellenbosch to drive significant operational improvements. You will analyze complex manufacturing and business processes and oversee strategic solutions from planning through implementation to deliver efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
The role requires leadership to guide cross-functional teams, develop data-driven initiatives, and communicate with senior management.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive industrial engineering experience.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methodologies.
- Strong data analysis, simulation, and financial justification skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and present to senior management.
Responsibilities
- Lead assessment and redesign of core manufacturing and business processes for optimal performance.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Manage major improvement projects from conception to execution and measurement.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Analyze operational data to identify performance drivers and strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments for alignment and buy-in.
