Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer in Stellenbosch to drive operations improvement and optimize resource allocation. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and align engineering strategies with business objectives in a role blending office collaboration with remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience, a Master’s in Industrial Engineering, and strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and simulation tools.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly advantageous.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering.
• Strong focus on operations improvement and process optimization.
• Proven track record leading complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and redesign of operational processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategic improvement plans using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Manage cross-functional project teams from conception to completion.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth and capabilities.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for investments.
• Monitor performance, track metrics, and report progress to senior management.
