Job summary

Virago Recruitment is assisting a Pretoria law firm to recruit an experienced, hands-on HR Manager to own the full HR function—from onboarding and payroll to performance management and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a relevant HR qualification, at least 5 years in HR (legal practice or auditing firm preferred), strong SA labour-law knowledge (BCEA), payroll experience, and familiarity with LPC Candidate Attorney registrations and Board Exam processes.

Qualifications

• Relevant HR qualification and professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years' HR experience in professional services.
• Experience within a legal practice or auditing firm essential.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation, BCEA.
• Payroll administration experience.
• Knowledge of LPC Candidate Attorney registrations and Board Exam processes.
• Experience with performance management, probation and employee relations.
• Ability to draft employment contracts and HR documentation.
• Knowledge of B-BBEE requirements.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters professionally.
• Confident working independently and taking ownership of the full HR function.
