Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist based in Randburg, Gauteng. The role covers employee relations, policy implementation, talent management support, and daily HR operations to enhance the employee experience.

Ideal candidates will have 5–7 years of broad HR experience, strong knowledge of South African labour law, and proven success in HR programs and data management. A proactive, collaborative mindset is essential for driving HR excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive HR experience with a strong generalist background.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in employee relations and complex HR issues.
• Experience in recruitment, compensation, and benefits administration.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in policy development and program implementation.
• Relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
• Oversee HR policies and procedures for consistency and compliance.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs.
• Contribute to performance management and talent development.
• Maintain HRIS and ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with South African labour laws and regulations.
• Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR matters.
• Assist in developing and delivering HR training programs.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
