Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Financial Planning Manager to lead the FP&A team in Soweto, Gauteng. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic analysis to drive financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in FP&A, strong modeling skills, and experience in the banking/finance sector. Hybrid work model with opportunities for development and leadership impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (CFA, CMA, CA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience in financial services.
• Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting and strategic analysis.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and planning software (SAP BPC, Anaplan, Oracle Hyperion).
• Excellent leadership, analytical and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of Gauteng region dynamics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and long-term strategic planning processes.
• Prepare accurate financial forecasts and explain variances to management.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models for scenario planning.
• Provide strategic financial analysis for business initiatives and investments.
• Oversee management reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Collaborate with departments to align plans with corporate objectives.
• Monitor KPIs and overall business performance.
• Assess financial risks and opportunities and advise on strategies.
• Mentor FP&A team and ensure compliance with policies.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and tools.
