Placements24 is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team in Soweto, Gauteng. You will develop and analyze financial models, prepare reports for senior management, and drive forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in financial analysis, strong Excel skills, and solid accounting knowledge. Hybrid work arrangement and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CMA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Proven experience with financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
• Experience working in the banking and finance industry is highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop and analyze financial models to support strategic decision-making, including forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports, variance analyses, and KPIs to senior management.
• Conduct in-depth financial research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing explanations for deviations.
