Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a motivated Financial Analyst in Centurion, Gauteng, offering a hybrid work setup balancing remote and in-office collaboration. You will deliver financial insights, build models for budgeting and planning, and present findings to senior management to drive business performance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and a solid grasp of financial principles and valuation methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Master's degree or CFA is a plus.
• 3–5 years of financial analysis, corporate finance, or a similar role.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas, pivot tables and modeling.
• Experience with FP&A software is desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting, and valuation methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Hybrid work model experience preferred in Centurion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis including variance analysis, trend identification, and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management.
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular updates.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and business cases.
• Support cross-functional teams with financial data and analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data used for analysis.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and economic conditions affecting performance.
