Placements24 seeks a Senior Financial Analyst for a fully remote role across South Africa, with Randburg, Gauteng as a key reference point. The role focuses on financial forecasting, modelling, and strategic analysis to drive business performance.

You will lead complex analyses, mentor junior analysts, and communicate findings to senior management, enabling data-driven decisions in a remote-first environment. Strong Excel and ERP/BI skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A or related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• Advanced financial modeling skills and Excel proficiency; ERP/BI knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated financial models to support strategic initiatives, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Partner with various business units to understand their financial needs and provide support.
• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights for business improvement.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct due diligence for potential acquisitions.
• Stay abreast of market trends and economic conditions impacting the company's financial performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within FP&A.
• Mentor and guide junior financial analysts.
