Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a strategic FP&A Manager to lead the FP&A function in a remote-first setup across South Africa. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and performance management while delivering insightful analyses and executive-ready reports for senior leaders and the board.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in FP&A, strong financial modeling and business valuation expertise, and experience with ERP and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., MBA, CA(SA), CFA) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive FP&A experience with complex FP&A processes.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and business valuation.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, and advanced Excel; experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain long-range financial plans and scenario analyses.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and the board.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, identifying key trends, drivers, and variances.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand their financial needs and support budgeting/planning.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to track business performance.
• continuously improve FP&A processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members.
• Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and acquisitions.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial models and reports.
