Placements24 in Polokwane is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Manager to plan, organize, and execute a broad range of corporate and social events. You will manage the full lifecycle from initial client consultation and concept development to budget management, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in event management, preferably in hospitality or venue settings.
• Ability to plan and execute a variety of corporate and social events.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Effective communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end planning and execution of corporate and social events (conferences, weddings, parties, product launches).
• Liaise with clients to understand requirements, objectives and vision.
• Develop detailed proposals, budgets, and timelines; ensure targets are met.
• Source and manage vendors (caterers, decorators, entertainment, AV).
• Coordinate logistics: venue setup, seating, catering, staffing; oversee on-site execution.
• Manage event budgets and track expenditures against targets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Develop creative concepts and themes for events.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and gather client feedback.
