Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator in Polokwane to plan, organize and execute a variety of hospitality events from concept to completion. You will liaise with clients, vendors and internal teams to meet objectives and budgets, delivering memorable experiences.

The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, a creative mindset, and proficiency with event management software and MS Office.

Qualifications

3+ years in event planning or coordination, preferably hospitality/events.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
Proficiency with event management software and MS Office.
Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers.
Creative mindset with keen eye for detail and aesthetics.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of events, including logistics, timelines, and budgets.
Liaise with clients to understand needs and ensure satisfaction throughout planning.
Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
Develop event layouts, seating, and staffing schedules.
Oversee on-site event management and troubleshoot issues.
Handle post-event follow-up, feedback collection and reporting.
